Impact story

Isla is the reason Isla's Journey Rescue exists. When we found her, she was a stray who had spent weeks surviving on her own. It took patience, persistence, and countless hours to finally bring her to safety. She was heartworm positive and had clearly been through more than any dog should, but despite everything, she never stopped showing us love. Although we eventually had to make the heartbreaking decision to let her go, Isla changed our lives forever. Her journey inspired us to create a rescue dedicated to never giving up on lost, abandoned, and overlooked dogs. Every dog we save, every family we reunite, and every pet we help through our community pantry is part of the legacy she left behind.
