Hearts For The Homeless

Our mission

Our mission is to uplift underserved communities by delivering essential health services, nourishing food support, safe shelter access, and youth empowerment. We partner with local healthcare providers to offer immunizations and health checks, support the homeless and underprivileged through feeding programs, water distribution, and community gardens, and provide compassionate aid to individuals in addiction recovery and those escaping domestic violence. Through youth-led initiatives, we foster empathy, resilience, and community engagement to build a more caring and inclusive future.

Impact story

Hearts For The Homeless serves over 7,500 people annually across Mississippi through 12 ongoing programs and partnerships with 11 organizations. Our monthly Reach House Luncheon delivers meals, healthcare, and counseling to 720 individuals each year. Through our partnership with Grace House Ministries, we provide monthly fellowship sessions and an annual VIR conference offering health checks, counseling, and peer support for 300 women overcoming addiction, homelessness, and abuse. We provide ongoing supply support to Yellow House, a shelter for homeless pregnant young women and mothers with small children, including an annual baby shower for maternal needs. A weekly Sunday lunch program in Fayette, MS partners with the Church of Christ at Fayette to provide meals to 250 individuals annually. Our healthcare partnerships with the Student Healthcare Coalition at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Onyx Healthcare, and My Brothers Keeper enable us to provide health checks, immunizations, and HIV/STD testing at all public-facing events including our Bi-Annual Homeless Health Fair, the Annual Houston Homeless Support Event, and Gateway Mission and Stewpot Men's Mission retreats. Internationally, we support Casa Ninos Felices Orphanage in the Dominican Republic with supplies and 720 meals annually. Our Jefferson County Food Pantry Initiative is projected to serve 1,200 families annually in 2026, and our monthly Summer Water Distributions reach 3,600 people each year. We partner with Stewpot Ministries, Gateway Ministries, Jackson Resource Center, True Vine MB Church, UMMC, Student Healthcare Coalition, My Brothers Keeper, Onyx Healthcare, Casa Ninos Felices Orphanage, Church of Christ at Fayette, and New Heights Church. Hearts For The Homeless is a 100% volunteer driven organization. No salaries are taken by any officer, allowing us to direct the majority of funding directly to programs supporting the vulnerable community.
