Our mission
Cat-Tastrophe Charities rescues cats in Chicago, cares for them in foster homes, and finds them loving adoptive homes.
Impact story
Cat-Tastrophe started with a cat I was feeding in my neighborhood. He stopped eating and only drank water, and we believe he got into poison. I put him in a carrier to rush him to the vet, and he passed away on the way. Something clicked in me that day, and I applied for my 501(c)(3) to start this rescue. Since 2022 we have rescued and rehomed about 100 cats. In 2025, 25 cats found their forever homes and 29 were spayed or neutered. It has been a struggle and it has been rewarding. Saving lives and finding cats their forever homes fills my heart.
