Our mission

An Hour of Hope Ministries' mission is to raise awareness, provide guidance, and inspire action for the well-being of troubled, at-risk, and homeless youth by facilitating educational outreach, faith-based mentorships, and family engagement initiatives throughout Westmoreland County and surrounding Pennsylvania communities. Our vision is to establish a thriving supportive community where every youth has access to holistic, faith-driven support that empowers them to become confident, resilient contributors to society and end teen homelessness.

Impact story

Hope often begins with a single moment, a listening ear, an encouraging word, or a reminder that no one walks through life's challenges alone. An Hour of Hope Ministries was founded on the belief that every person deserves hope, compassion, and support regardless of their circumstances. Through faith-based outreach, personal encouragement, community engagement, and meaningful relationships, An Hour of Hope Ministries seeks to meet youth where they are and help them move forward with renewed confidence and faith. The ministry serves as a beacon of hope for teens and families facing difficult seasons, offering spiritual encouragement, practical guidance, and a caring community. One of the ministry's greatest impacts is its ability to remind youth that they are seen, valued, and loved. Whether through outreach efforts, conversations, community partnerships, or acts of service, lives are touched in ways that cannot always be measured by numbers alone. Youth who once felt isolated, forgotten, and alone discovered connection. Cheyenne was one of those struggling youths. Our founder and president, Frank, met Cheyenne when she was 14 years old and in foster care. As a youth minister, he was contacted by her foster mom because she was struggling with something and would not talk to anyone. Frank was able to reach out to Cheyenne by asking her what type of music she was listening to. That simple question opened the door for an hour-long conversation that showed she was cared for and mattered. Her self-esteem began to change, her confidence grew, and she began to have a relationship with God. With Frank's hour-long visits, Cheyenne finished high school and attended cosmetology school, earning a cosmetology license. She found happiness in herself and continues to have a relationship with God. Cheyenne often says that if it had not been for that first hour Frank spent connecting with her, she most likely wouldn’t be alive. The ministry's message is simple but powerful: hope changes lives one hour at a time. By fostering relationships built on compassion, faith, and service, An Hour of Hope Ministries helps create opportunities for healing, growth, and transformation. Looking ahead, An Hour of Hope Ministries remains committed to expanding its impact through partnerships, volunteer engagement, educational programs, and outreach initiatives that strengthen communities and inspire hope for future generations. Every conversation, every act of kindness, and every opportunity to serve contributes to a larger mission of bringing hope to those who need it most. Because when hope is shared, lives are changed.
